What engine did i have

I had a 1976 sportster which at the time was amf . It was 1000 cc .
What was that engine ? Evo , shovel or what . I never had any problems with it only had it a couple years before i sold it .

I had one too. Did yours have the Red White and Blue stripping on the fenders and tank ? Loved that bike, cept it kept getting me in trouble.....
