wax removal

Can anyone help with removing wax residue from the black engine cases. I've tried dish detergent witha tooth brush. I check at the local car paint store and they have two products - PPG Acryli-Clean DX 330 and Klean Strip Wax and Gease Remover. I worry they may damage the engine finish.

Try the finish restorer from S100. It will not hurt the finish.

s100 engine brightener twice a year your engine will always look new.

I agree, S100 engine brightener gets rid of the wax residue or chrome polish. Great product!

Simple Green will break down the wax, spray it on and hit with a brush, rinse it off. Do not let Simple Green dry on the surfac it is sprayed on as it will leave residue marks, scrub and rinse.

Beleive it or not but Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser also works great.

I'm with TrickyDoc, I've used Pledge on mine with good results.

I have used silicon spray with good results. Spray it on than wipe it off. Seems to work similar to S100 but much cheaper.
