Volume etc increases automatically

I have a Harman Kardon 2010 CD player install on my -00 Electra Classic. It has been working just fine, but since yesterday something has happened. When playing a CD or listening to the radio volume increases automatically (AVC is turned off), and if I am in controll mode, i.e bass, treble etc, what ever I have selected it also increases automatically. My thinking goes to the handlebar controll. Right before it started I was riding through a really bad terential rainstorm, so maybe there is water inside the controll. Thoughts?

Yep. Sure sounds like it. That is where I would start on a problem like this.
