vented rocker box question

Is the top half of the three piece harley rocker box the same. 84-91 92-96ish are vented ass'y. The vents are in the two lower parts of the 3 piece unit. I'm looking at getting a set of used vented rocker boxs for the motor I'm building and they have a coupl of markes on them. I also have a set of none vented units with really nice chrome can I swap the top pieces?

I was under the impression that the venting was in the head and not the rocker box cover but there may be changes done to the covers as they were listed with a new part numbers as of 92

Thinking about it the umbrella valves would have been added to the 92 and later rocker covers and may affect fitment of the erlier top cover to the later lower covers so i dont know for sure one way or the other
