Can anyone tell me if the HD stage 1 remap is region specific? With all of the different climate & elevation changes one can encounter in different regions across the US & Canada, I was just wondering if the HD remaps are zone specific or kind of a one size fits all.

    Thanks

That is a very good question. In reality it Should be but my guess it is not.

It is only now in 2010, E10 fuel has been factored for (Lambda 1.0). Anyone using a map prior to 2010 really should factor that in with today's fuel.

Wouldn't there have to be some type of exhaust sensor in the system to have the ECM adjust accordingly? I never have been able to completely understand how the HD fuel injection works on my 2002.

Your 2002 is pre-o2 sensors. Your air fuel ratios are not computed on the fly. They are determined by look up tables only.

O2 sensors really came on board around 2006. They are narrow band sensors that can only see Lambda 1.0 (14.3 using E10 fuel)

You are actually an open loop system.
