Just fitted an Ultima 6 speed to my 96 softail. I'm very happy with it too. Shift was a little tight at first but it is quite pleasant now. I fitted this to hide a buzz the bike had in 5th. But when changing the trains I found the nut on the chassis mount for the trans was loose. Doh! There is four bolts and one nut. Have to remove the right shock to get at the nut anyway. P.S.There was nothing wrong with the original 5 speed at 80,000 km's.
I fitted a new belt at the same time. My fault that the belt broke , I wrote about it in a previous post.
