I'm already hearing that the new twin cooled bikes are leaking coolant already after only 1K miles. Not just a few, but several. Moco is already aware of this problem.
Sounds like this new motor will be dubbed "showerhead" :D
But this is not a joke, it really is leaking already. Glad I decided to wait on getting one.

I know the local dealership installed the coolant jug wrong and created a leak. Hopefully, it's a learning curve for the dealers and not a faulty design from the MoCo.

I'd heard "waterhead" but "showerhead" sounds good, too.

Probably dealer prep related. Will be interesting to hear WHERE the leak is coming from.

Isn't their usual attitude to let the Customers figure it out?

    MY Guess......

Too much heat around the exhaust valve and boiling the liquid to make High Pressure STEAM....... Blowing the gasket on the water jacket....

I figured this by looking at the design earlier before this problem Reared it's Ugly Head...:newsmile077:

    NOW, I'm just guessing here...

    Your turn......:D

If it didn't leak, how would you know it was a Harley? My prediction is that it's only a first year bug and will go away quickly.

Would I want one after the problem is solved? Probably not. I like my bike too much to trade it in.

    Cheers!
