I rplied about this same thing in the Clean Up post. There is a product called Road Rub that works wonders on marks on pipes. It is a small tube that looks like a deodorant stick and it WORKS.

Lot's of product's out there,Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish does it for me.One product does both,make's aluminum shine like chrome(takes some elbow grease,more you rub,blacker it get's = more shine) and takes burnt crap off your pipes.Rocker Boxes,Primary.etc.,etc., on the Shovel look better than new and that is after 28 yrs.
