turn signals acting like brake lights

rear turn signals come on with brake lights.traced it back to the gelitin filled box under seat and test light dosnt blink with blinkers on but plug connecter and they start blinking.i sure hope someone knows what the heck im trying to cause its driving me nuts

It sounds like you have the Run/stop/turn module on your bike that makes the signals act like brake lights. You didn't say if your turn signals work properly. If your read lens are red, it's a good indication that you have the module. Stock rear lens are yellow.

Is the rear re wired with a turn signal module?

I got the module from Harley so my rear turn signals would do this. It also came with red lens to replace the amber.

Trace out the rear harness and remove gelatin filled box under seat and you may find the rear lights will work properly...
