Trip to Yucatan, Mexico

I’m planning a trip for April 2009 from Toronto, Canada to Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
My intention is to ride my 2006 Roadking Classic and spend about a month riding in Mexico visiting old colonial towns. I’ve been driving in Mexico several times but just in the south, never in the northern part of the country.

I’m a bit concern about the safety aspect and the fact that I will be riding a Harley around the country.

Any good, bad feedback is much appreciated.

I hope you are doing alright. I live in Campeche, Mexico (near Merida). it is very safe around the yucatan peninsula (including Cancun, Playa, etc) if you need more information, feel free to contact me. I might join you on a small ride
