A guy I know is in a wheelchair, and uses his hands to drive a car. Curious if anyone has a suggestion for a trike that is modded out for hand controls, *and* that would allow him to carry his wheelchair easily in the back. It would have to allow him to put in/take out the wheelchair by himself. Whatcha got?

I would think a regular bike with a custom sidecar platform would be a better fit. Some metric bikes even have automatic transmissions for easy hand operation. The sidecar platform can be designed low to the ground and even include a small ramp for easy access.

This is something I’d love to attempt. Unfortunately I have plenty of ideas and can design, but no fabrication tools or talent to bring them to life.
