Transmission serial number

Let me know the numbers and year you think it is. I may be able to give you
some info. You can use x's for the last 3 digits if you want.

Will do. Thanks for your help. I will post as soon as I get home.

Also I was wondering if on a bike where the engine and trans are original, should the serial number on the trans match up with the engine s/n or portions of the VIN?

There is no match between vin and trans. number. From 2000 on the trans. number system was year then 6 digit sequential trans. number ie. 02 000123 would be a 2002 trans., 123rd built. An important part of trans.# is the style and location of numbers.

Thanks for the info. The number on my trans is 01163374
