Transmission noise, and engine dieing

I have a 2008 Softail FXSTC, %th gear rattles am told thats normal do not wory, but noe after 7300 miles my 1st gear is rattleing and engine had dies on me twice while coming to a stop. recently replaced clutch and break lever with chrome ones so had to adjust clutch cable tightened cable to just a 1/8in. slack in cable.

That's the nature of the beast with the 6 speed cruise drive trans. It has poor tolerances and sub standard parts IMO.

My has died here and there as well. Quick blip of the throttle to shift down, pull in the cluth for the stop and it just peters out.
