Transmission Gear Ratios - 5 and 6 speed

[2009FLSTC]

I have been told that the final drive on the 6 speed tranny is the same as the 5 speed tranny...1 to 1. I've been trying to look this up to verify that because it doesn't make any sense to me to make a 6 speed with the same final drive as the 5 speed unless you are looking to have more gears to pull or something. Anybody got some true specs comparing the 5 and 6 speed?

The rpms on the 6spd are around 300rpms lower than the 5spd models in top gear.
