Trailering

I have pulled a trailer for years without any issues. Even a few trips from the eastern side of Wisconsin to Sturgis, trailer fully loaded and riding 2-up on my '90 Heritage. In my opinion, the bike handles better pulling than it does overloaded. Not nearly as top heavy, just takes longer getting up to speed and slowing down.

I am kind of thinking that maybe its not harm to the bike the Moco is trying to avoid but its the liability issue, anyone can hook a trailer up and take off with it. Never done this myself but I would think some special skills would be involved and bad habbits would be amplified. One post mentioned a longer stopping distance, I know several riders that rely too much on the rear brake for stopping power and I think I can picture what would happen in a panic stop with the trailer pushing and the rear wheel locked up. Chrome damage
