Touring seats

Dont know how tall you are, I am 6'4" and needed the "tall boy" seat. Made a huge difference regarding being able to stretch out my legs and arms.
Plus the extra padding did help vs the stock FLHRS seat.
Rode from DFW to Hot Springs AK in Sept. and had no issues. Has a good back support in the rear and a great sized 2 up pillion for any ladies on the back also. Good luck.

i had a problem with the stock seat bought a sundowner and what a difference able to put more miles on and the wife loves it to.also put a drivers backrest on and that helped alot to

the wife hated the orignal seat on our roadking said hurt her butt, put a sundowner on both of us were happy 400 miles + also thru a dr backrest on as well as pass. worked wonders

I have a sundowner on my SG, very comfy. As a matter of fact I recently purchased a Corbin, had it on for a week, took it off and went back to my Sundowner

Guys, anyone know how a sundowner suits someone with a short (29") inside seam? I need to either have the existing seat modified by a saddle specialist or look at changing from stock seat to Sundowner.

I tried a sundowner seat on my RK when I first got it and didn't keep it. I have a 30" inseam and it raised me up a bit more than the stock seat.
In all fairness the stock seat did pack down a bit and I'm sure the sundowner would have too if I kept it. It was a very comfortable seat.

You can have any seat altered to suit you by this company. Allen is the guy to talk to and does excellent work.

I have three seats, the factory a Corbin solo, and the Mustang Wide Regal 75074. Fortunately the Mustang seat is not nearly as ugly as their advertisement photo depicts. I use this seat for rides over a couple hundred rides when going two up. The years have acclimated my butt to about any seat all day long, but the wife loves this seat and I must agree it is the bomb on longer rides.

Thanks again for all your input. Finally had a chance to see a really sweet RK with a mustang seat last weekend. The owner had his bike set up in an nostalgic style that is close to how I want my bike to look. The mustang compliments that look and is a great seat besides.

Anyway picked up the mustang one piece seat with black studs from J&P saturday and rode with our chapter sunday to Key Largo and back. Absolutely fantastic. I'm very happy.

Cheers! :s

As contained in my post on Page 1, I know the Sundowner is a much more comfortable seat but for my height & 29" inseam length I'm certain it will sit higher which is just not doable for me so in all likelyhood I will try to search out somebody here in Canada who is good at this modifying seats thing... (anyone out there know of anybody off hand)?
