I'm switching from Metzlers to Avons.Got 4600 miles out of a 210/50-17 Metz and it was showing cords, put on an Avon Cobra.

18,538 miles on D407 rear tire. Never had a M/C rear tire come even close to this mileage before. In the past, 8-10,000 miles was a good tire. Had to replace the front D407 for a D408F at 15,000 miles as it was cupping badly in center, yet still had plenty of good tread on most of the tire. The rear still has 3/32" left on it. Am shooting for 20,000 miles before I "retire" the rear. I am sold on the D407 for long life and good handling.

i ran dunlops on my 08 bagger till i tried a set of metzelers i would not switch back. 880s are great tires handel better ride better last longer

Been running Avon Venom on the 94FLSTC since 95. Average 10,000 to 11,500 rear usuall change the front at same time even though could probably get another 6,000 to 7,000 mi on it. Changed over to Avon Venoms on the first tire change on the 05FLTRI, 6,500mi. Get about the same milage on the Glide as I do the Softail. The Avons have a much easier turnin than the Dunlops due to the Sport tire profile and both bikes "feel" lighter, and eaiser to handle. I'll stick with the Avons untill someone can show me a reason to change.

avon storm rear 180/55 17 its too low for me and the wife jiffy stand is in the way but the best tire i had since i owned 06 wg but it too low profile ohh dunlop in the front :cheers

I put on a new set of dunlops last summer that's what was on it when i got it new. What have you heard about Michelin on the bikes ????:bigsmiley24:
