I have had no issues with Dunlops on any of my harleys.

Great! Hope it stays that way. But to be safe, carefully inspect the tread pattern on both tires looking for a crack or split that runs in the water grooves. May look something like this:

Yesterday, 7/20/09 - I replaced the Dunlop D402 front and rear (defective) tires with AVON AM41 MT90HB-16 (1109) and AVON AM42 140/90HB-16 (4908) tires at 75,100 miles. Good looking tires. See pix (Dunlops left, AVONs right).

I just replaced both tires on my Heritage with E3's.

I have never had a problem with a Dunlop tire in the last 20+ years. They make a solid product at a fair price.

When the stock dunlops wear out I'll be getting Metzler ME880's if they have a 180/65 for the rear by then.

No happy with the Dunlops on my 09. I've always had good luck with them in the past.

I have run dunlops, avons and while both are good tires.. i am running Maxxis Tires now.. They are everybit as good as either of the two other brands i have run, if not better. And for the price i am able to get them for. I cannot go wrong. I bought them from Tiresunlimited.com and paid roughly 170 bucks for both front and back tire, for my Roadking. In my opinion the tread pattern is better and all around ride. They also sell all the other major brands as well. You might want to check them out, might save you a few bucks. And all the tires they sell are guaranteed.
