Tire Change?

Anyone have suggestions on the easiest way to change a bagger rear tire - undo the shocks and raise the bike or take off one of the mufflers to get the clearance to remove the axle ??? Was wodering which is the lesser of evils LOL

Probably easier to unbolt the shocks than to remove mufflers.

Have to admit that this is one of the times I think the easiest way is to ride it to the dealer! LOL I love doing my own maintenance, but some things require too much effort for my taste!

Taken the wheel off my Ultra a few times and never thought of the shocks.It is very easy to remove the mufflers after the bags are off.

I've tried both. Removing the muffler works for me...pull bags, muffler(s) and axle with bike on jack and tire barely on the ground....jack up bike and pull wheel out from under the fender...reverse order to install.

I do it the same way as SamF. Muffler comes off easily enough.
