Time for the cat to go

Ok, after 8 years and 55000 miles it's time for the cat to go. Not sure what to ask for or where to shop to find the replacement pipe. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

2007 Heritage Softail Classic, all stock.

Most of the major exhaust manuf. make them. These folks make a pretty good product at a decent price: -Freedom Performance Exhaust

I'm not sure but I think the Cat was in the mufflers in '07, if it was even used then. You could slip your mufflers off and look in the header pipes to see if one is there.

Softail cats are in the mufflers but whether or not there is a cat will depend on the model year, whether or not it is a California or International bike and whether or not it is carbed or EFI. Tourhox is right; shine a light into the right side muffler and take a look or stick something in the muffler and see how far it goes. I can tell you that if there is cat, it won't be in the head pipe. A good set of slipons will solve the problem.
