I was trying to change my switch box covers out but I cannot figure out how to get the throttle and idler cable out of the box. Does it Have to be pressed out and new threaded cables bought?
They have a small spring that compresses to hold them into the housing. Just use a small screwdriver between the flange on the cable end and the housing and they pop out.
I have an '08 Night Train I just changed the handlebars on and the service manual says to pull and wiggle until they pop out. If the retaining clip gets damaged, replace it.
