Throttle and Idle Cable Removal

Replacing my stock cables with new ones because I went with bigger bars. Had a hard time trying to figure out how the cable ends come out of the chrome housing... looked on here and found some great info. Like the little tiny snap rings build into the cable housings. Didn't know that before because you can't really see them their so small. I guess the manual says grab them and yard them out... mine were too tight for that.

Since I'm replacing my cables, I just cut the cables to get them out of the way. Then using a drift punch the same size as the ferrel, I just tapped it a couple times and it came right out. Aparently "pulling" isn't enough to compress the snap ring, but tap tap aroo works great.

Enjoy
