TFI / Warranty

Has anyone taken a bike in for warranty work that has a TFI or other fuel tuner installed? Did you have any problems from the dealer? I guess I just want to make sure that the TFI will not void my Warranty.

The TFI will NOT void any warranty. The opinions from dealer to dealer will change depending on their honesty.

Mine went in two weeks ago and the techs just wanted to see it because they hadn't seen one before. No mention of it affecting my warranty at all

Thanks Glider, I read the link. If I understand it right, the dealer would have to prove that the TFI caused whatever the issue is that I might need repaired under warranty for the warranty not to cover it. Correct? If so, what are any possible problems that could be caused from the TFI?

That's about the size of it. Only problem that I could imagine is if the TFI stopped working for some reason and you would be running lean then but that would apply to any tuner too if they stopped working except the more expensive ones that re program the ECM which usually would require a dyno tune.
