Temperature management system

I installed the tfi on my 2008 electra glide, and the system does not allow my engine idle temperature management system (EITMS) to be activated. I was just wondering if this is normal for the install of the tfi system?

no i was able to turn mine on just fine when i had the tfi installed

Installed in my 08 egc, no problems with the heat management system.

Mine also didn't work when tfi first installed. I checked all connections, didn't find anything loose, but everything worked fine after that. No answers but both still work great.

Is the EITMS new for 08 models or was it in the 07 EG?

The older models had to have the dealer activate it for a one time free option. The newer ones are user activated.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Is it possible to have EITMS added to my 06 Ultra?

It's not possible. It is a feature of the newer bikes with the improved ECM's

they do have a "parade mode" download available for your 06 bike..it is not exactly like the EITMS but does help with the heat. check with your dealer.

How about for the 05 models. Is there a heat management program for those models?
