TC88 misfire at 4000 RPM

A while back, there was a poster that said HIS bike Cut Out at 4000 RPM. When asked HOW he knew it was 4000 RPM, he said Just a GUESS......

HE actually WAS hitting the rev-limiter...:newsmile03:

My question IS How do you Judge the missing at 4000 RPM, do you have a Tach?

signed....BUBBIE

Stock rev limiter should be @ 5800, with out a tach how would you know 4000, like Bubbie says?

The Road Glide has a tach, I can't believe it's off 1800RPM.

I replaced the carb with one that I know is good and it does the same. I will check to see if it has adjustable push rods.

It is a 99 road glide and it has a tach and it cuts out at the same point every time.???

Pushrods are stock.
