tank removal

I have a 97 road king. I want to remove the tank to do the intake gaskets.
My old bile was easy, back off the worm clamps and use thumbs to stop the gas. I know I need to release the fuel injector pressure but the fuel line disconnects are baffling me.

It's like an air hose disconnect, just depress the outer shell and the inner comes out.

Mate for about 5 bucks (here in Oz, probably cheaper in the US) get yerself an adjustable hose clamp. Saves the thumbs and fuel spillage.

I think the quick connect on the HD is great.Pull the fuse for the fuel pump,start it ,let it stall and disconnect, no spills or leakage.
