Taming those flapping pant legs

When I bought my chaps I had to cut them to length. The peice that I cut off was about 2" wide and had a set of snaps on them. I can use them to wrap around my lower leg and snap it together. Works pretty good and since it's black leather it dosen't look too bad either.

I found this leggings image on the internet (they may have been on ebay?) Although these leggings are pretty traditional, having been hand carved they are very custom and somebody spent a lot of time making these. I dare say by the profile of these the former biker, cowboy or mo-pedder, may have been blest with "Popeye" legs.

What aabout sewing some velcrow to the bottom so that you can take up the excess material
