Switchback wont start

I have a 2012 Dyna Switchback. It has not given me a single problem until today. As I attempt to start it, it try's to turnover but a loud click or pop occurs in the transmission and then it cut off. When this happens the engine light come on. Attempting to start it again results in the same thing.
Any suggestions?

Check your battery cables both ends to make sure they are clean and tight. You might want to do a load test on the battery also.

Don has you covered, start with the basics. Any mods or bone stock? If it's trying to turn over or bareley turning over that sounds like a not so good battery or charging system issue.

known issue with the earth strap on the switchback breaking at the 'Y' joint under the bike, as stated check both ends but follow the cable and make sure this isnt broken or fraid
