Stripped Timing plug Hole

Was checking timing on my 98 EVO today and stripped the threads out of the case were the plug goes. Anyone have a suggestion to fix without takin the cases apart.

That is bad. You do not want to do anything (Heli-coil, King-coil, etc.) that might put metal bits in the case. I suggest an expandable elastomer plug that will be oil tight, but not disturb the aluminum.
