There's been some problems that seem odd lately with these bikes that are difficult to track down. Some can be traced to the plug on the ECM and are very difficult to track or find. It may be an intermittent problem or just a no start condition.
It takes only a few minutes to disconnect the plug on the ECM and inspect the pins in both halves of the plug.
This becomes an issue even more when the plugs have been separated for replacement of an aftermarket ECM or if it was unplugged for any type of diagnostic work. Care must be taken when reassembling the plugs to attach them straight into each other and not wiggle them together when reassembling.
It's just a basic disconnect and inspect. You are looking for any pins in the plug that may look out of line or bent differently than the others on both halves of the plug. If not, apply some dialectric grease and reassemble the plug.
