starter problems

just bought 95 heritage rides perfect but it seems to have developed a starter problem. battery is brand new it is fully charged and is charging back at 14.5 that is all good i needed a jumpstart when i left the lights on would any of you guys know what i may have toasted. i forgot that you should not jump start from a car.theres a run coming up real soon,i dont want to be walking.it will only crank over jump start only im hoping i can fix it myself.

Remove, clean (wire brush) and reinstall the battery terminals.

Might also want to inspect primary cables wires (they should be shiny) and no evidence of corrosion as they are almost 15 years old if the OEM ones that came on the bike.
