Squeeling noise

    Ok a couple of days ago as I was riding and I accelerated I heard a squeel then it stopped. Ive never experienced this before. Looking for any help this is my first Harley.

    I have had the drive belt do this if it wasn't adjusted right. Hope you find the problem.

    Hmm. You have this in the tranny section. Is that were the sound seemed to be coming from? How long did it last? How loud was it? Were you just starting off for a ride, or was the engine/tranny warm already?

    Give us some more info.

    Check the drive belt, read your manual for proper adjustment.

    For a RK, I think you deflect the belt in the middle with 10 lbs of force (Harley makes a specialty gage, or you can make one yourself like I did). Spec deflection amount should be in your owners manual. Mine was loose when I adjusted it, but no squeak. Perhaps somehow yours is tight?
