'05 Sportster 1200 Custom starter gasket leak. I replaced my starter the first time using a gasket from James, it was cheap cardboard and leaked after installation. I started all over using a new Harley OEM and I'm still leaking a small amount of oil apparently from the starter. I was very careful reinstalling the new Harley gasket, I may have, possibly got a very small amount of blue loctite on the new gasket upon installation, I'm not sure. Anyone have any advice for me, I'm a bit weary and disappointed, but will get it right, thanks for your help. I did properly torque mounting bolts to service manual specs in case you're wondering.
