Would like to know if any one might be able to help me out with a problem, i have a 2005 sportster 1200c owned from new. Any way what happen when riding to work the bike died no power or lights? Started flickering on and off. shut of the bike and restarted ok. Drove another 100 yards same thing happen, once again was able to restart ok. Made it to work ok. When i went to check my trip odometer it was at zero for both "A" and "B". the bike has 56,000 km. on it.

1st recommendation is to check your battery cable connections (both ends of +/-). Sounds like you have a loose cable...

Like Iceman says, since it only happens when the bike is in motion, it sounds like a loose cable causing power interruption.

If you don't immediately find the offending loose cable or wire, it could be a bad wire internally. Start the bike up and let it idle. Then systematically wiggle all the cables and wires a bit and see if you can duplicate the power loss.
