Just bought a 2005 Sportster XL883L with only 1,200 miles - it's show room clean. Trouble is it won't idle without the enricher being 1/2 pulled out. I cleaned the carb, changed the plugs (fouled) and fresh gas. Runs great at speed with enricher in, but dies at idle. Any suggestions?

Do you know how the carb is jetted? Sounds like to lean idle circuit or a clogged idle circuit. Did you remove the jets when you had it apart? Did you see what numbers were on them? Is the idle mixture screw uncovered so that it can be adjusted? We are probably going to need a little more info to get you straightened out. There are lots of good folks here willing to help out. Hang around awhile and you'll have it running real good in no time at all.
