Spoked wheels

As early I took off rear wheel and harley change tire, I reinstalled tire and I got it installed on bike properly. When I started bike and put in gear (tire off floor) the rear wheel has a slight wobble, looks like in rim, is this normal with spoked rim? I talked to Yamaha mechanic and he said that is a common thing.

There shouldn't be a noticable run out on any rim. Being a spoke rim, it can be trued by someone that knows how to do it and it is advisable to have the truing done to eliminate excessive wear on other components.
There are run out specs on a rim and if it exceeds the run out, the truing should be done.
