I know you said to use gl5 75/140 spectro in the transmission but the only dealer in my area carries sprctro gl5 85/140 hd gear oil , would this be ok to use ?

You should use the Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum 6-speed Transmission Oil. This is a 75W140 GL-5 gear lube. However, if you can not find that, and do not want to order it on-line, then in my opinion the Spectro Heavy Duty Gear Oil in 85W140 GL-5 should be an OK substitute.

It will work any gear lube is better than the oil hd puts in them from factory while there are some additives that are in the 6 speed to make it better the other should be fine
