Spectro 6 Speed GL5 Tranny Fluid

There is a good question on page 105 of the January 2013 issue of American Iron Magazine regarding "yellow metal corrosion" in the HD 6 speed when using a GL5 gear lube. The question is answered by their H-D certified mechanic. The short version is, according to the mechanic, there are no yellow metals in this tranny therefore no corrosion issues. (for what it's worth).

Incidentally, it was my question that got a response in the magazine! Kinda cool!:D
 
That answer may only work with newer engines.
Didn't some of the older Harleys have yellow metals?
