speaker question

good day all....i have an 09 flhx with stock harmon system..last weekend my right soeaker mysteriously faded to close to nothing no rain or water was involved just on routine ride and poof !

You didn't accidentally adjust the balance, did you. I've done that.

Check the balance and if that is not it you can remove both speakers and try the one that works in place of the one that doesn't. You should be able to determine form that what the problem is, radio or speaker.

Volume switch (left side) controls balance/treble/bass/display/avc. Push in to select each, then up/down to adjust. :bigsmiley23:

There is no balance control...only fader

OOPs. My bad, I just checked mine and NO balance.

Yeah...you're right. It doesn't have a balance. Just a fader (front to rear balance) if you have rear speakers. (That's what I accidentally hit one time. Couldn't understand how come I couldn't hear anything out of my fairing speakers.) Left to right would be either a speaker issue, wiring or corrosion/water in the connectors, or (heaven forbid) a bad channel in the head unit.
