Spark plugs and wires

I recently had my first service done and had the stage 1 done at the same time. I am wondering if I should put the split fire SE plugs and 10mm Fat Wires on it now just for the improved spark.

apart from looking good and emptying your wallet these are not worth it on a stock stage1 motor, i put them on my 04' 883 and saw no improvement, also the stock plug is a good plug and thankfully unlike the Big twins the sporty does not suffer ION sensing.

Early on when Splitfire plugs came out I heard they also had problems with pieces of the "forked" electrode breaking off...any truth to that? :25:

Don't waste your money. The theory on Splitfire plugs is good, and it looks good too.... A wider (or split) spark will offer a more complete burn. But no matter what happens, only one spark will throw at a time. One fork or the other, but not both at the same time. They have been around for years, and many independent tests have found no improvement over stock.
