Something just isnt right.....'03 RKC

I did mention that unless you open the top end, you will have to cut the push-rods out.

Not having done it myself, I was not aware you could actually get the rocker boxes off, without removing the engine or the heads. On my old scooter, there was not enough clearance to get the rocker boxes off without removing the heads. If it is possible, I will file that away for future reference...

Not necessary to remove the rocker boxes although they can be removed without removing the heads. Just need to remove the rocker box covers; loosen the rocker arm support plate, push it out of the way and pull the pushrods from the top. The only thing to watch closely is the o-ring that seals the crankcase breather path between the rocker box and the rocker arm support plate.
