The cheapest way is saddle soap and alot of elbow grease. It will make lighter colored leathers look a little darker though.

I use a leather balsam(lord sheraton)great stuff,revitalises old leather,helps make it water resistant,prevents drying out,and polishes as well as making it more supple.Gotta yse it regularly,and requires a little elbow grease.
