Softail mufflers

I'm new to Harley, new to the forum and have a newb question. I'm looking for a pair of SE tapered mufflers for my 2000 Heritage Classic and can find several that fit up to a 99 model year. They look like they would fit my 2000, so I'm curious, just what exactly could be the difference between the exhaust on a 99 vs a 2000?

I believe it is the mounting points. I think they may have changed the exhaust support.

Yep KY you are right. Just verified at J&P that the mounting locations changed with the Twin Cam frame change.
