sidecar

I'm thinking about buying a sidecar for my 07 road king classic, possibly used. I need to know how old the sidecar can be and still work with my bike, and also what other models are compatible with mine as far as mountings

There are a number of sidecar manufacturers. Liberty and Texas sidecars are two that I think go well with the style of the RKC, as well as the Harley. Almost any sidecar can be fitted but it might be more of a problem with some than others. Alignment, and lean out are somewhat critical for a rig that handles well. Often people add raked triple trees to help in handling

Sidecars are way different than riding 2 wheels so you might want to try one out before you commit. Also it isn't an easy job to connect and disconnect most sidecars so most that want to ride 2 wheels have two bikes one with one without

Hello
I use a Road King Classic for our Champion Escort sidecar. It all depends on why you want a sidecar. Our needs were for my wife who can not walk. After a lot of looking we settled on the Escort. I bought ours on ebay for 4500.00 used. Driving a sidecar is very different than riding a bike.
We had a 1994 HD sidecar rig in 94, because we wanted to take our girls with us. The sidecar will use more gas, and demand more power. I have two HD,s. One for me and one for my wife. Hope this helps.
Ken

Forgot to add a sidecar for a goldwing will not work for a Roadking
