Side Mount License Plate Bracket

I purchased an LED license plate bracket to mount on the swingarm of my nightrain. Is there anything special I should know other than tapping into the rear tailamp? This kind of off topic, but what do you do with the stock license plate mount that is attached to the rear tailight?

hi bud i`ve just done the same with my herritage but i changed the rear fender at the same time.
