Should I winterize?

I hurt my back mid summer and haven't been able to log too many miles last part of the season. I put just over 3,000 miles on it this summer. I put some stabil in the tank and hooked up the tender.

My qustion is; Do you think it'll be okay to take it in for service when the weather breaks and I get a few more miles on it.... 5K or should I get the snow gear out and get it down there for oil change etc before winter really sets in? It'll be due for it's 10k at that time.

I know many will say just do it yourself... but I really don't have the ability to do so.

Thanks in advance!

Don't kid yourself, you can do the oil change yourself. I had a friend in Florida that bought a RKC call me up and I walked him through the oil change on the phone. He did just fine and never worked on a bike before.

There's even videos in the self help forum to show you how to do things.

You put the stabil in the tank but did you run it to get it through the system?

You would be better off doing the oil & filter before laying the bike up to get the acids out of the engine that are in the oil.

I did ride it for about 10miles after putting the stabil in.
I'll get it changed.
Thanks Glider
