Salt Stains on Leather Jacket ?

My new leather jacket dries with white powder stains all over it. The stuff wipes off eventually but it takes a 1/2 hour to clean it using saddle soap. Even then there is still evidence of this white stuff in the leather a few days later.
My boots, gloves, leather saddle bags, pants etc dont have this problem.
Is there something wrong with my jacket? I have never come across this before.

I got some Harley black leather polish from the dealer which is supposed to be made for that. I put some on my seat, I hope that it doesn't come off and onto my clothes. Try it on your jacket, it will look better than new.
