saddlebags for 72 sporster

Anybody ever make a set of bags for a 72 sporty?

Making a set of bags is a rather time and labor intensive exercise, and probably many find aftermarket products or finding vintage ones made for the specific bike a bargain. In my case, I looked for a "cost effective" throwover leather saddlebag set, then found removable water resistant zipup liners, to protect items and ease unpacking.

I utilized HD OEM hardware to space them away from the shocks/beltdrive/exhaust, which brings up the other reasons many look for aftermarket products: fit and safety. And of course the other reason is, many want to spend their time riding. Nothing wrong with doing it yourself, just may want to find 1972 OEM stuff on Ebay, Craigslist or buy new made to fit aftermarket if vintage restoration is not your "bag." :s
