was getting into looking into things and it is time to check out the float bowl. bought bike 7 days ago and have no idea how long it sat. taking off the air filter housing and then the base plate. had to remove 2 looks like banjo bolts going into the heads. one is good the other is buggered up. missing o ring with silicone on it. also the area where the o ring goes is damaged. what is the purpose of this line? and where to get new bolt and o ring?

The banjo bolts are how the heads breathe. Go easy on the tightening of these bolts, you say 1 is already bunged up? You may need to heli coil that one

It was probably run for a while with a loose breather bolt on that head for a while and the vibration scored or gouged it is my guess.

so far I have not been able to find an exact replacement bolt. seems there has been an upgrade made to the bolt and mounting hardware for the filter base plate. this upgrade allows for the breather to remain attached to the engine and a separate nut to attach the base plate.
