i just bought an 05 heritage softail, have a rubbing noise in rear when coming to a stop. Happens with or without using brakes. Worst about 10 mph.
any clues? Happens every time I slow down to stop. I get about 3 or 4 whoomp-whoomp-whoomps
as I get to a stop.

    Could be a warped rotor.

hello {first post}had the same noise on my 06 fxst it seemed to be worst after a longer ride .I installed a chrome pully cover and it was rubbing on the belt gaurd bracket that is welded to the top bar on the swingarm I took some metal off with a grinder {carfully} ,repainted and the noise is gone good luck.

Plastic splash guard rubbing the tire? Mine rubs a bit after going with the wide tire kit.
